The Legend goes like this: The Great Spirit Mata Nui came down from the skies to Earth.  He did not know that he was being followed by his evil brother, Makuta.  Makuta saw his brother getting worshiped by tohunga and getting the island named after him so he cast a spell on Mata Nui that made him sleep.  The tohunga still didn't worship Makuta so he made dark places on the island where the tohunga dared not to go because of the Rahi.  Mata Nui used the rest of his powers to summon six mighty toa, who were going to defeat Makuta and save the island of Mata Nui  This website is a tribute to Mata Nui, the toa, and other characters of the Bionicle legend.
